This article deals with automakers’ misaligned EV plans.

In my opinion,

The timing is not coming but making. Automakers must make new EV that provide differentiated value beyond just being a vehicle.

So far a whole new car called EV hasn’t truly existed.

This is reason why people including American haven’t been purchasing EVs.

At least Tesla has been trying to provide new value of cars by adding function of entertainment and distinct image.

Some automakers who want to sell EV must develop completely new EV that satisfy owners with non-vehicle function.

    n Germany, there are people who prefer the lively feel of a diesel engine. They refuse to drive EVs, and most of their cars are even manual rather than automatic. Some people are tired of the fast-changing automotive landscape and prefer the classics. Therefore, EVs need to find a way to appeal to this kind of niche market as well.
